My Life Adventure

I was blessed to be born in 1946 into a family of outdoor lovers. I was taught the outdoor life by learning to camp, fish and hunt with both of my parents and their friends. This paved the way and prepared me to endure 4 years with the Navy Seabees as a diesel mechanic. I served 2 tours in Vietnam travelling all over the country servicing equipment. I was blessed to have the opportunity to finish my last year in Newfoundland where I was able to enjoy fly fishing (caught many trout) and hunting (my Dad and I both harvested a bull moose at the same time). In 1970, I entered back into the civilian life where I pursued the insurance profession for the next 40 years serving insurance needs of many people. In my spare time my wife and I raised our son and daughter in the outdoors teaching them the skills my parents had taught me. Now my kids are teaching my grandchildren to enjoy the outdoors camping and fishing and that’s the way it should be. In the late 70’s, I was asked to take over my Dad’s hunting operation which allowed me to be responsible for entertaining many experienced hunters, as well as beginners, so that they could enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and the benefits that it yields.

My philosophy is that a family that plays together stays together and if you teach your kids to hunt and fish you will never have to hunt your kids.
