Over 50 Years

Founded in 1973 by a group of avid Florida hunters, the Southern Country Hunting Club has grown into a premier destination for trophy hunters and sporting families alike (children under 16 hunt for free). Nestled on over 1,400 acres of prime hunting land and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest, the club boasts an abundance of game. Whether you're in pursuit of a prize trophy or a mature gobbler, Southern Country Hunting Club offers the perfect setting. Experience the great outdoors around a campfire, or hone your skills at our 200-yard, noise-insulated shooting range.

Located in Furman, South Carolina, our 1,400 acres in Jasper County are just a 45-minute drive northwest from I-95 (exit 5) at Hardeeville. From there, take Highway 321 and turn right onto Highway 601 to reach Furman. South Carolina is renowned for its early hunting season, which opens on August 15th, giving hunters the chance to harvest a velvet buck. This season extends until January 1st, offering the longest whitetail deer season in the nation. Additionally, we offer spring gobbler hunting from April 10th to May 10th.
